What is Gorilla Glass?

Gorilla Glass is a very special type of glass specially created for mobile phones. It increases the durability of the mobile screen and protect it from scratches and external shocks. Specialty of gorilla glass is that it doesn’t add extra weight yet provide more protection than the normal glass screen. It is a protective layer of glass which is chemically designed to withstand more pressures. Gorilla glass is unscratchable, unshatterable, completely withstanding type of glass used as a protective window. It is chemically tempered by immersing in a salt bath and compressing all large ions so that they are bonded together strongly.
Some of the smart phones which use gorilla glass are Samsung Galaxy S, the Apple iPhone 4, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab etc.
